Demo Version 8.6

Mplus Version 8.6 Demo is now available for download at no cost for Windows operating systems,Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems.The demo version contains all of the capabilities of the regular versionof Mplus. They include:

  • Linear regression with multivariate outcomes
  • Probit regression for binary and ordered categorical variables with multivariate outcomes
  • Logistic regression for binary, ordered, and unordered categorical variables
  • Path analysis
  • Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis
  • Confirmatory factor analysis with covariates
  • General structural equation modeling
  • Growth modeling
  • Survival analysis
  • Time series analysis
  • Multilevel modeling
  • General latent variable mixture modeling

The Mplus Demo Version is limited only by the number of variables that can be used in an analysis.Following are the limitations:

And under Mac OS X, you should see something like this: X11 demo under Mac OS X Lion. And now the full cross-platform source code that all of you are waiting for.
  2. The 8.7.4.23 version of DYMO Labelwriter for Mac is available as a free download on our software library. The file size of the latest installation package available for download is 65.9 MB. Our antivirus check shows that this Mac download is safe. This free Mac app was originally developed by DYMO.

Controls: The sliders control the physics and orientation of the foot-donut; Release the foot-donut using the play button in the top-left corner; Reset the foot-donut by clicking the same button again; Reset the high scores by clicking the button with the bin icon.

The playable Kerbal Space Program demo, version 0.18.2. Note that this file is for the Mac OS X based operating systems only. This new demo is based on KSP 0.18.2, so it has all the newer systems, with several restrictions, of course.

Note: Demo Version 8.6 is not available for Windows XP/ME/Vista, Mac OS X 10.10 or earlier and 32-bit Linux operating systems.

Installing the Mplus Demo Version

  1. Download the file MplusDemo.pkg for 64-bit Mac OS X.
  2. Follow the instructions given by the setup application.
  3. Refer to the MacOS Installation Instructions for more information.
  1. Download the file install_mpluslinux_demo64.bin for 64-bit Linux.
  2. Open a shell and cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer.
  3. At the prompt, type: ./install_mpluslinux_demo64.bin or sh ./install_mpluslinux_demo64.bin.
  4. Follow the instructions given by the setup application. Note that the default installation directory is/opt/mpdemo which requires installation as root or with sudo.
  5. Refer to the Getting Started document in the installationdirectory before using the Mplus Demo Version. Important information about the environment variables used byMplus is provided in the document.
  1. Download the file Mplus Version 8.6 Demo.msi for 32-bit Windows or Mplus Version 8.6 Demo (64-bit).msi for 64-bit Windows.
  2. Double-click on the MSI file in Windows Explorer to start the installation.
  3. Follow the instructions given by the installer.

Using the Mplus Demo Version

The Mplus Demo Version for Windows and Mac OS X come with the Mplus Editor or can be runfrom the command line. The Mplus Demo Version for Linux operating systems is available only from the command line.

Command-Line for Mac OS X and Linux Operating Systems

First, open a shell. Verify that the environment variables have been set toinclude the Mplus installation directory in the PATH environment variable by typing: $ which mpdemo
If the command is found, then run the Mplus Demo Version with the following syntax:
$ mpdemo sample.inp sample.txt
where sample.inp in the file that contains the input setup andsample.txt is the name of the file in which the output will bewritten. The following entry,
$ mpdemo sample.inp
would result in the output going to the file sample.out, thedefault output file.

Windows

To run Mplus through Windows, click on the Start button, clickon the Programs button, and then click on Mplus. The menu barcontains the menu item Mplus. This offers two options: LanguageGenerator and Run Mplus. Mplus can also be run by clicking on theRUN button. A user can use an existing input setup,create a new input setup using the editor, or use the languagegenerator to create an input setup.

Version 8.6 of Mplus includes a language generator to assist in preparinginput files. The Mplus Language Generator takes users through a seriesof screens to help them quickly set up an Mplus input file. The languagegenerator contains all of the Mplus commands except DEFINE, MODEL, andMONTECARLO. Hints for using the Mplus Language Generator are includedunder the Help menu.

In the demo version, you can experience both single and multiplayer gameplay, including limited vehicle combat. In the single player campaign level The Silent Cartographer, you assume the role of super-soldier Master Chief as you take on the fierce alien faction known as the Covenant. In the multiplayer map Blood Gulch, up to 16 human opponents can light each other up with devastating weaponry and combat vehicles, including the new Rocket Warthog and the Banshee, either online or via LAN connection. One of the best multiplayer demos out there. A must have. Buyer beware, the full game is out of print. Buy it through third parties, or get the Anniversery edition.
